Telesales Executive
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Telesales Executive to join a well-established organisation who specialise in the IT services sector, based in Edinburgh.
As a Telesales Executive you will be required to identify and pursue potential sales opportunities within the UK marketplace as part of general prospecting & targeted sales campaigns. Your role will be to assist the Business Development Manager to support the full sales lifecycle.
Job purpose:
• To identify potential sales opportunities within a defined target market
• To gain an understanding of the target market and any relevant trends within said market, in relation to the clients offerings - mainly through outbound calls, but also other means relevant e.g. internet searches, Linkedin, sector-specific publications, etc
• To project manage targeted sales campaigns, design schedules and cascade information to relevant teams involved
• To work alongside the sales teams for specific campaigns, in order to provide the most relevant, up-to-date information possible
• To use this information to contact specific prospects in conjunction with the sales team
• To liaise with the marketing department & all other members of the sales team as necessary, under the guidance of the department team leader
• To act in a professional and responsible manner at all times
The successful Telesales Executive MUST possesses the following:
• Previous experience of operating in a telephone based sales/marketing role
• Willingness to continually learn and develop skills in ITIL, ITSM & solutions.
• Knowledge of ITSM market and needs of customers
• Previous experience of working within a software company
• Experience of specific vertical markets & their IT issues
• Previous experience of working in a sales role with an overall understanding of the sales cycle
• Solid experience in use and management of CRM/sales/lead generation databases
• Solid levels of PC literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and internet browsers
• Experience of running queries and running reports from databases
• An awareness and understanding of Data Protection issues
• Experience of desk-based research, drawing up conclusions and presenting actions
• Proven capability to work with high volumes of data within tight timescales whilst maintaining accuracy
• Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
• Ability to work without constant supervision
Recent Graduates will be considered if they can demonstrate the ability to perform the afore mentioned.
