This role is based onsite three days per week. Also, a relocation package is available. Fluent English speaking and written is needed and Spanish would be a benefit.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced Service Transition Manager, however, we will consider CVs of vibrant, highly energetic Service Delivery Managers, or Service Managers who want to work in transition. Candidates who have strong ITSM/ITIL backgrounds.
As a Service Design & Transition Manager, you will play a crucial role in the introduction of new or modified services from the development phase to operational deployment. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a good understanding of IT service management principles. You will be responsible for coordinating various teams and stakeholders to guarantee that the design and transition process aligns with the company goals and meets customer and end-user expectations.
Firstly, Service Design
Secondly, work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into service design specifications.
Likewise, develop service design documentation, including service operating models, processes, technology, information and workflows
Furthermore, make sure service designs are scalable and adhere to industry best practices, comply with relevant standards and align with Business strategy
Integrate service design in to the broader IT Service Management department
Provide guidance and education to stakeholders and the wider business around the role of service design
Monitor and evaluate the performance of service design
Lead the planning and coordination of service transitions, working closely with project managers, development teams and other stakeholders
Develop comprehensive transition plans when required, including timelines, milestones and dependencies
Identify and assess potential risks associated with service transitions and develop mitigation strategies
Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Support Operations, Project Management, Engineering and Service Design to ensure alignment and understanding of service transition activities
Communicate effectively during service transition to ensure stakeholders understand progress and have their expectations managed while also having their concerns and input addressed
Monitor and evaluate the performance of service transition
Service Catalogue Management
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify and define IT services offered by the Business
Develop and maintain a detailed and up to date service catalogue, including service descriptions, service levels, service owners and dependencies
Establish and enforce governance processes for maintaining the service catalogue, ensuring accuracy and relevance
Promote the use and adoption of the service catalogue among end-users, IT teams, and other stakeholders.
Firstly, 5 years’ experience working in an IT service environment within a complex and diverse organisation, with 3 years being at a service transition management role.
Secondly, experience and aptitude in working in a matrix organisation where effective and robust negotiating and influencing skills are used successfully while maintaining good working relationships with members of that organisation
Likewise, experience of working for a managed services provider an advantage – Not essential –Internal service transition managers will be considered
Also, ITIL® certification an advantage
Must have strong negotiation skills
Extensive team work experience and ability to effectively lead, engage and motivate other
Inventors towards a common goal
Working experience of Project Management and proven ability of managing all the types of work and workloads required to successfully deliver a high performing service
Experience delivering services in a challenging organisational environment and influencing change
Good response under pressure and ability to quickly react to changes and to adapt strategies and priorities accordingly
Importantly, great written, verbal and face to face communication skills, including the ability to relate effectively
to users at all levels and careful attention to detail
Also, Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
