1st / 2nd Line IT Support Technician / Analyst
St Ives, Cambridgeshire – Onsite role.
Salary range £22K – £26K

GTS are looking for someone with at least two years of experience in providing IT support to businesses both virtually.

The successful applicant will have genuine enthusiasm and energy for all things IT related. In addition, be willing to embrace the challenge of supporting a number of small and medium-sized businesses with very varied IT requirements. Ideally located within 25 miles of St Ives, Cambridgeshire.  As this role works with a variety of people, good communication skills, both verbal and written are essential.

The role’s main responsibilities:

Firstly, visiting customers and providing support, as well as installing and maintaining IT equipment.
Secondly, hardware repairs in the workshop of PCs, laptops and Macs and
providing technical support via telephone where remote control software will be used.
Furthermore, investigating hardware, software and malware issues and maintaining accurate documentation
Installing, configuring and management of networks and support all current versions of MS Office including Office 365.
Finally, you’ll be responsible for the management of email services on mobile devices and tablets

Desirable skills and experience:

Most importantly, microsoft based desktop and server operating systems and software qualifications
Apple Mac experience
Having a clean UK driving licence and appropriate car in important for this role too.
Working knowledge of networking and firewalls, Group Policy, Exchange Server and Active Directory is very desirable
Service desk software, RMM
Good planning, verbal and written communication skills
Lastly, a wide knowledge of computing principles.
