Business Analyst/ Technical Author

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Analyst to join blue chip organisation working from home initially but returning to the offices in Ashford Middlesex when restrictions are lifted.
As a Business Analyst you will:
Be a highly motivated fast learner, with excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly and concisely to colleagues and users.
A good knowledge of international freight forwarding is essential to this role. Familiarity with forwarding/customs software would also be an advantage but is not critical.
You will be responsible for producing information about current and future products and services, and how they work, in a way that is easy to understand. The information may be presented in the form of user requirements, software user guides, training guides and instructional videos.
You’ll need to understand our clients software then design and write documentation to explain it to colleagues and users.
Previous experience is not essential, but the ability and enthusiasm to document complex technical subjects are.
You may also provide this information in various other forms including software demos, wikis, blogs and podcasts, using video, illustrations and graphics.
You must work well in a team environment but also be able to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision. You will be imaginative, loyal, committed, hardworking and passionate about everything you do
As a Business Analyst
• Have extensive freight forwarding experience.
• Be self-motivated and keen to learn.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Have strong investigative and analytical skills, with an attention to detail.
• Have strong interpersonal skills.
• Have strong time management skills.
• Have experience of technical writing and/or working as a Technical Author.
