Desktop Support Engineer Crawley Jobs. GTS has an exciting IT Contract for a Desktop Support Engineer in Crawley. This is an initial 6 month contract. However, it is likely that this will be extended.

This is a site-based contract role and is inside IR35. As a result, this role is suited to umbrella contractors only.

Contractors will need 5 years of referenceable UK working history to be suitable for this role.

Tasks required:

Firstly, provide support for the installation and configuration of IT assets.
Support and set up of IT assets. This includes POS, Thin clients, desktops, laptops, printers, Label printers, Scanners, and IT peripherals.
Co-ordinate with Service Desk, Operations Managers, and Tower Leads. This for issue resolution and service requests.
Finally, maintain and report hardware asset stock.

Skills and experience required:

Firstly, a Valid UK Driving Licence due to travel around the site.
Also, have experience in supporting mobile devices. For example, iPads, iPhones, and MDM.
Knowledge of Networking, Wi-Fi, VPN, and Links.
Working experience in Microsoft technologies Windows 7 and 10 and O365, as well as MS Teams.
Experience in supporting performance and client-related issues resolutions.
Have good organisational skills.
Have the ability to work on your own, as well as part of a team.
Good understanding of Asset management.
Finally, have previous experience of working airside is preferred but not essential.
