We have an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a nationally recognised organisation in London.

The hours are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

Working as a Desktop Support Engineer, you will provide and maintain service continuity for the client’s desktop technology and rectify any technical issues that may occur, all within contractual agreements.

We are considering people who are passionate about technology and are eager to increase their existing knowledge, all whilst delivering excellent customer service.

A SNAPSHOT OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Firstly, you will respond to customer incidents, service requests and manage through to a positive resolution. This will require secure troubleshooting ability.

Secondly, provide a deskside service to the customer, including hardware break-fix and software support, and will travel to surrounding offices and Shell Sites, as required

Thirdly, aid with the installation of computer equipment, as a result, coordinating employee moves. This will involve requests for network patching and setup of computing workspace, as well as assisting with data backup/restore and application reinstall/configure.

Additionally, supply desk-side guidance to end-users during computer installation and guide clients through the Computer Asset Refresh cycle.

Finally, adhere to all IMAC ticket handling procedures which will include well-timed updates as well as adherence to schedules.

IDEALLY, WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BELOW KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:

Customer service skills of high quality with the ability to aid a variety of business groups, including management, some with unique requirements.
Importantly, Technical and analytical desktop troubleshooting skills  (Windows 7/Windows 10 environment and SCCM environment).
Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Understanding of Office 365 services and use within Microsoft applications and online (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, etc.).
Knowledge of network printing, cloud added advance as well as operating the system installation and machine prep.
Awareness of IT Security and best practices.
Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently or within a team.
