We have an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a blue chip organisation in Dublin on a permanent basis. Working as the Desktop Support Engineer you will provide and maintain continuity of service for all desktop devices (hardware, software and connectivity) for the customer and resolve any technical issues that may occur within contractual agreements.

We are looking for people who are passionate about technology and increasing their existing knowledge, whilst delivering exceptional customer service.

A snapshot of what you will be doing:

Respond to customer incidents and service requests and manage through to a successful resolution
Deliver desk-side support services to the customer
Deliver hard and soft break fix services for laptops and desktops across the site
Provide standard and approved hardware and software support and maintenance on desktop devices
Support, manage and maintain the configuration and installation of desktops, including patch updates and hardware replacements
Provide VIP support for desk side issues

What are we looking for?

Proven previous experience of working onsite providing desktop support
Good knowledge of current Microsoft Windows Desktop software
Understanding of network protocols, server hardware and configurations
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to any new change or situation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good understanding of mobile devices such as iPads, iPhones and Android phones

This role will be working Monday – Friday 9am-5:30pm plus on call.

Our client offer a basic salary from €24,000 – €26,000 + on call allowance + pension, life assurance and access to ongoing training and career development.
