GTS has an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a well-established organisation in Dublin. This will be an initial 3-month contract.
Working as a Deskside Support Engineer, you will provide technical infrastructure support for end-users. This will be on site and will include solving problems related to software, hardware, networks, as well as peripherals.
Above all, you will work to minimize disruption to our users, in addition to responding to requests.
Firstly, you will provide 2nd Level Deskside support, assisting users with service requests as well as Incidents.
This may include hardware break fix as well as software support.
Fundamentally, you will support IT teams and users so to troubleshoot the cause for any Incident.
Secondly, you will conduct and manage IMACs. This will include both hardware as well as software.
Additionally, you will support remote technical teams with the provision of Hands & Eyes support.
2 years of experience in Desktop support.
This will include experience with network fault troubleshooting
Sound knowledge of software, hardware, networks, as well as peripherals.
Excellent problem-solving skills. As a result, the ability to support bespoke applications.
Self-starter. Above all, able to work with minimum supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communicator.
Flexible as weekend support may be requested.
Will to provide on-call support as the support desk is covered 24/7.
Must obtain SC Security Clearance.
