Desktop support engineer
IT Contract job London.
We have an exciting opportunity for a desktop support engineer to join a blue chip organisation in London.
The hours are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
Also, this role is inside IR35 so this role is only suitable for umbrella contractors.
Firstly, strong Microsoft Office skills, for example, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Secondly, good technical and analytical skills for desktop troubleshooting support in Windows 7/Windows 10 and SCCM environments.
Excellent understanding of Office 365 services and how they are used within Microsoft applications as well as online. Additionally, applications that you will be supporting will include point, OneDrive, and Exchange.
Most importantly, strong Customer Service Skills.
Knowledge of network printing and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to provide consistent and excellent customer support to clients from a variety of business groups, including management, with unique requirements.
Also, the candidate must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Have a working knowledge of Cloud added advance.
Understanding of IT Security as well as best practices.
Ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
Knowledge of Operating System installation and machine prep.
Assisting with installation of computer equipment.
Coordination of worker moves including requests for network patching as well as setup of computing workspace.
Provide desk-side guidance to end users during computer installation.
Guide clients through the Computer Asset Refresh cycle by assisting with data backup/restore as well as application reinstall/configure.
Potential travel to surrounding offices and Shell Sites as required.
Furthermore, ensure new hires (JML) installs are completed on time.
Finally, must adhere to all IMAC ticket handling procedures including timely updates of tracking systems.
