Desktop Support Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for a Deployment/Desktop Support Engineer to join a well-established organisation in Dublin. This is on a 3-month contract.
As a Deployment/Desktop Support Engineer you will manage desktop deployments, working with users until completion. To achieve this, you will communicate and cooperate with supervisors together with co-workers. The key objective is to deliver exceptional customer service.
Firstly, you will receive and manage desktop stock for deployment in the assigned stock preparation area. Subsequently, you will prepare desktop deployment equipment ready for next day deployment. This will be in line with the agreed schedule as managed by the Project Team.
Secondly, you will liaise with the End User to arrange the desktop deployment. Importantly, you will assess any prerequisites required to access the area.
On agreement with the user, you will perform the desktop deployment. To achieve this, you will
remove existing the desktop setup and place equipment in designated returns area. After which, you will setup the new desktop equipment and confirm with the end User once deployed.
Additionally, if any technical issues are identified, you will engage the SME to support troubleshooting. Should there be any discrepancies or challenges, you will coordinate with the Win10 Project Team to resolve. On completion, you will update the required information in the Asset Management Database.
Crucially, you will follow quality & Safety standards, as well as comply with procedures, rules and regulations for the respective site. To support this, you will maintain a clean and safe working environment and so optimise space utilisation
Lastly, you will ensure that all Packaging is disposed in accordance with the site-specific process.
