GTS has a number of great Desktop Engineer Jobs. This role is for a contract Desktop Support Engineer based in Reading. The is a 2-month contract but this could get extended.

Desktop Support Engineer contract is inside IR35 as a result, this role is only suitable for Umbrella contractors

A SNAPSHOT OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Respond to client support requests
Break-fix for standard ticket supports
Also, hardware and software deployments
Network Support for Server Rooms and Network infrastructure proximity support.
User Engagement for IT induction and training
Asset Management for Virtual, physical logging and management of assets

IDEALLY, WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BELOW KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

DBS Certificate required, Contractors must either have a current DBS or be willing to apply for one upon offer.
Ability to perform remote troubleshooting
Good communications skills and be an active listener.
Have a positive attitude with customers and the team
Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
Be customer focused and work well under pressure
Must be a team player and support the customer-focused culture
Identify and implement solutions for customers
