GTS’s AV Engineer Jobs London. We have an exciting role for an AV engineer. This is to complete a 3-month contract in London.

The day rate for this role is £160 to £180.

This role is inside IR35, so this role is suitable for umbrella contractors only.

Essential Tasks:

Management of onsite AV Technical Management. This includes configuring and installing AV devices. For example, Poly, Crestron, AMX, Cisco, Yealink, Logitech, and Microsoft Teams.
Perform routine testing and problem diagnosis for projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers and LCDs, and Plasma Displays.
Maintain solutions to prevent issues. Identify how to resolve issues and keep stakeholders informed.
Coordinate with AV equipment OEMs for resolution when required.
Assist with company meetings and functions that require the use of AV infrastructure. This includes audio, video conferencing, and webcasting. Also, visual display or projection, and control system (AMX, Crestron) operations.
Interact with client Customer Help Desk ticketing system. This is to help respond to end user requests.
Setup and breakdown of all onsite meetings.
Daily system testing to ensure the equipment and room are functioning properly.
Responsible for escalating all “next level” break fix issues to the manager for resolution.
Perform remote testing for local and regional offices.
Polycom AV equipment management and configuration.
Establish and test individual and group VC sessions, for example, meeting support. This includes the consultation of users on the best possible connection type.

Skills required:

Be able to communicate well with employees, clients, and colleagues. Have the ability to work well with all levels of the company.
Ensure operational availability of all dedicated audio visual and Video Production environments.
Ability to work and think on your own.
Have the ability to meet deadlines.
Good knowledge of Windows based devices.
Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.
Excellent attention to detail as well as verbal and written skills.
Proven customer service focus.

Experience needed:

3 to 5 plus years of industry experience. This is in fields relating to the technical management of AV environments.
Certification from respected vendors, Poly, Crestron (CTS), AMX, Cisco, and Microsoft.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and O365 integration.
ITIL v3. Foundation a Plus.
Cisco – CCNA Video, CCNA Routing, and switching are an advantage.
Videoconference experience. This includes operation, call set-up, and equipment.
