Desktop Support Engineer
Fareham Jobs from GTS. GTS has a great new Desktop Support Engineer role based in Fareham. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm. Total working hours a week are 37.5. The salary is Up to £29,400 but this position also comes with a benefits package.

Firstly, be the Deskside Services point of contact for users providing the technical resolution of desktop incidents. This will include hardware, software products, moves, and change requests.
Secondly, manage your own tickets throughout their Lifecycle making sure SLA are met.
Also, make sure aged tickets are addressed; pended tickets are updated, and monitor SLAs in real-time to ensure compliance.
Keep the customer updated throughout the life of an incident; ensuring satisfactory call resolution is met.
Keep the Incident Management System updated with clear progress and call resolution details.
Ensure high-priority and impact incidents are resolved using exceptional care, speed, and efficiency
Work closely with the Operations Manager as your point of contact for service delivery escalations
Handle and/or coordinate the resolution of technical and client issues, escalating to the Operations Manager or Service Delivery Manager, as needed.
Recommend service improvements to management and take part in their implementation.
Finally, perform tape-changing activities and remote hands for locally based servers and coordinate them in satellite sites
Firstly, must be a driven, good team player with good technical and interpersonal skills.
Secondly, have a full clean UK driving license and have access to a vehicle.
Also, good at multi-tasking and like working in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
