We have an exciting opportunity for a Help Desk Support Analyst to join a blue chip organisation in Iver near Slough on a permanent basis.
The Hours of cover on this role will be 0600 to 1400 Wednesday to Sunday
Ideally candidates who could start on July 1st would be preferred
• Wherever possible, supporting and repairing the defective unit using remote system management tools.
• Utilizing approved tools to enable such remote access and support.
• Implementing a next-business-day depot service for mobile access employees. If the Support Center and Level 2 desktop support personnel determine that a desktop needs repair, Local Supplier will ship a replacement unit to the user’s current location. The broken unit will then be placed in the shipping box just received and returned for repair. After repair, the repaired unit will be returned to the spare pool.
If an entire configuration needs to be sent, ensuring that the configuration is in accordance with Standard Product configuration (including all authorized Software that has been recorded in the configuration management database for the defective unit).
Providing support to the Authorized User to enable the data to be copied and sending any necessary media that facilitates the copying of data along with the replacement unit. If possible, Local Supplier will assist the Authorized User in copying data from the hard drive of the defective unit to the replacement unit.
Providing knowledgeable support agents using appropriate, Local Customer-approved tools at the Service Desk to address calls from mobile users. If a remote user is unable to connect to the Network for remote control, support agents will walk the remote user through various resolution exercises to resolve their problem
