IT Business Partner Jobs in Basingstoke

GTS’s IT business partner jobs. This role is for an up-and-coming company based in Basingstoke. This is a full-time post. The rate is between £40 and £45k.

A SNAPSHOT OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Firstly, assess and buy new hardware and software.
Secondly, manage IT systems across the company. For example, VOIP and servers.
Also, maintain  IT inventory.
Plan the renewal of IT hardware.
Most importantly, evaluate IT risks. Supervise the network disaster recovery and backup processes.
Support the roll-out of new applications. For example, Installation and configuration of computer hardware, software, networks, and applications.
Assess the VOIP system and buy related hardware.
Report to Senior Management on the integrity, security, and functional improvement of the IT.
Also, train colleagues on company systems and network security.
Create user accounts and perform access control.
Document processes as well as backup and archive data.
Respond to technical support calls from colleagues.
Resolve issues from desktops and laptops. This will include Antivirus Protection Software, and VPN Solutions.
Roll out security protocols, IT systems, networking, and database systems.
Maintain company IT operations.

Furthermore

Identify and act on software and systems improvements.
Handle IT tasks and systems admin.
Research and evaluate new technology, for both hardware and software.
Align IT with current and future business requirements.
Liaise with external IT companies. This includes VOIP, hardware, software, IT support, and Disaster Recovery.
Support colleagues with a variety of software. This includes SAP, Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Office, and Windows 10.
This post will play a major role in developing the business. You must be able to handle many responsibilities. Also, create a process of working through daily issues to meet set deadlines.

IDEALLY, WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BELOW KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Firstly, 5+ years of working knowledge in managing IT infrastructure.
Have a relevant IT degree.
Secondly, have experience in working with technical experts and your team.
Communicate well with the team.
Also, have the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
Have good attention to detail.
Proven track record of leading implementation of IT systems.
Must be able to produce software and business documents.
Have a working knowledge of presenting complex data. Also, present analyses to senior management.
Work together with stakeholders. These are both internal and external.
You must be able to work with little supervision.
Be a good decision-maker.
