GTS Remote IT Jobs in Milton Keynes have an exciting role for a Head of Outsystems Development. This role is permanent and offers hybrid working. This role will be remote. You will need to attend the office on average once per month in Milton Keynes.

The salary is £65k to £75k annum.

Overview of the role:

Our client has created a strong team with existing Outsystems development experience. They are now looking for someone to lead the team from a technical excellence view. The role is focused on technical development / engineering skills and capability rather than team member line management.

Role tasks:

Firstly, be part of the technology leadership team. Influence technical direction and decisions on platform development.
Also, work with the Product Manager and Business Analyst. This is to take business requirements and translate them into technical plans.
The technical planning must include architecture design, development approach, and estimate.
Lead the technical team from an engineering perspective. For example, communicate the to-be technical architecture, components to be built, integration approach, etc.
Also, distribute the work to the technical team and mentor them as needed.
Monitor the quality of delivery of the technical team through code reviews.
Establish best practices around the architecture, development standards and release management.
Participate in Outsystems technical forums. Attend events to ensure staying current with the latest developments and technical capabilities. This is with a view to add this knowledge into our clients products.
Also, work in an Agile manner with Outsystems, the Product Manager, and the technology team to translate the product roadmap into epics, sprints, and backlogs.
Work in a joint fashion with the team as a technical team leader (in Outsystems definition). This is to co-deliver the re-platforming exercise.
In summary, the Head of Outsystems Development will own the technical architecture, development, performance, and maintenance of the client’s core platform.

Qualifications
Firstly, 5 years of Outsystems development experience.
Secondly, experience working on a platform that is sold on a business-to-business basis, but heavily used on a consumer basis too.
Architect and engineer an internet facing solution that has hundreds of thousands of users. This is with multiple £m’s of value of transactions being processed.
Finally, have development experience in other tools and technologies, for example, C#, SQL, and Java, etc.
