The candidate will need to design and architect the solution and processes.
This opportunity is for an SC Cleared Validation & Test Engineer in Christchurch on a permanent basis.

This role offers hybrid working. 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Salary banding is between £65,000 and 80,000 p.a.

Role Overview

Firstly, be responsible for planning and conducting formal acceptance testing and support Authority formal tests.
Secondly, test integration of the delivered sub-systems/segments has resulted in an operational system that achieves the desired measures of performance, as defined in the Requirements Document that are verified through system testing. This includes an assessment of the backwards compatibility of the system with other extant versions.
Also, Subsystem input to SFAT planning, including acceptance criteria
Proof of Concept demonstration
Test scripts and reports for subsystem formal test
Conduct SFAT
lastly, UAT preparation and support

Must have skills for this role:

Must have a Proven record in planning and conducting successful acceptance tests
Competence in the following will be required:
Firstly, Systems engineering lifecycles;
Communications technologies. For example IP networking, VOIP, Point-to-Point radio links, 4G/5G/6G mobile technologies, network security, and network management;
Also, Windows and Linux operating systems, including Virtualisation;
Strong communication skills are needed;
Proven track record in writing acceptance plans and reports
Finally,  commitment to continual learning;

In addition, an understanding of:
MoD or Industry IT projects and programmes;
Also, commercial or military networks, enterprise level designs;
Information Assurance (IA) and product security;
Security architectures, COTS integration and virtualisation;
lastly, design standards mandated by ITN (FMN Spiral 4, Def Stan, STANAG etc.)
