GTS has an exciting IT Support Job opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a well-established organisation in Feltham on an initial 12-month contract.
Working as a Deskside Support Engineer, you will provide on-site desktop support for technical infrastructure for end-users. This will include advising and assisting users to solve problems related to software, hardware, networks, as well as peripherals.
In addition to this, daily activities include resolving a wide variety of desktop software and hardware issues as well as requests. Above all, to minimize disruption to our users.
Microsoft Windows 7 – 10 as well as Microsoft Office. This will include all applications and Outlook.
Basic hardware knowledge, for instance: laptop keyboards, memory, and hard drives.
Experience with network fault troubleshooting, in addition to networking builds.
In addition to the above, the ability to conduct network printer installs and configuration.
Building of laptops and desktops. this would be via SCCM.
Working with remote tools such as SCCM, so to deploy software and take remote control.
Antivirus Applications, for example, Symantec and windows.
Excellent problem-solving skills. This would include the ability to support bespoke applications.
Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
Excellent communication and people skills.
2 years of experience in Desktop support
This Role is inside IR35 and it’s suitable for umbrella contractors only.
