Aldermaston jobs, we have a great contract role for a hardware Brake/fix engineer. We are looking for a customer-focused and enthusiastic Hardware engineer to work as part of the Technical Team, with a genuine interest in solving peoples IT issues and empathetic to customer needs and requirements. The applicant should be technically competent, possess good written and verbal communication skills and be willing to collaborate with the wider IT Support teams.
The Technical Team service delivery model consists of Evergreen (Conference Room & VIP Support), Laptop Support and Hardware Assessment and Supplier Lead Services.
The working hours are 8pm to 5pm. You must hold a DV clearance for this position.

The engineer will be responsible for the managed refurbishment of PC across all sites and all Networks.
Lastly, execute last minute requests for work in the highest profile locations.
Firstly, be able to Manage 180+ Conference rooms with the latest Audio Visual equipment installed to ensure patching and serviceability. Liaising with specialist suppliers to resolve faults and customers to design needs.
Secondly, have hands on experience of PC builds. Including remote and manual software installation and OS software deployment. Applying firmware updates, software patches and updates to achieve optimum product functionality.
Also, carry out Software version customization, testing services and technical support.
Likewise, be professional when dealing with issues.
Give general LAN advice and guidance to end users and use logical thinking to resolve incidents.
The engineer will learn, manage, support and take responsibility for new hardware systems as required and will be proactive in their approach to ensure delivery of the services.
Be able to work in a timely and organised manner in conjunction with high profile project plans. Will be able to provide problem diagnosis to management and recommend possible resolutions.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and high level of understanding the customer’s needs.
Demonstrate the ability to resolve customer problems under pressure in a fast paced environment.
The engineer will carry out any other duty in relation to the delivery of the contract as required by the iFix Technical or Tower Lead.
Finally, work core hours to meet customer needs and overtime if needed.

Knowledge of Windows 7/10 Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Packages

Lastly, a full UK Driving Licence is needed
