Desktop Support Engineer
GTS’s jobs in Bridgwater. GTS has a new role for a Contract Desktop Support Engineer in Bridgwater. This contract is 12 months but could get extended. The day rate for this post is up to £140.
This role is inside IR35. Therefore is only suitable for suited to umbrella contractors. The working days are Monday to Friday within office hours.
Role requires DBS so engineers would need to already hold one or be willing to apply on offer
Responsibilities as a Deskside Support Engineer:
Working as a Desktop Support Engineer, you will provide and maintain service continuity. This is for the client’s desktop technology and resolves technical queries that may occur, all within contractual agreements.
Firstly, an expert in Android tablet and phone device support.
Staging and configuration of the mobile devices.
Also, hand out devices from the stock location to the end users.
Collect devices from the End Users Ticket handling Asset management.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues for the Android devices.
Finally, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues for the Vending Lockers.
Firstly, working technical knowledge in order to address service work orders. This is for PCs, laptops, cabling, televisions, projectors, phones, peripherals, and site security equipment.
Working technical knowledge of standard systems and business software.
Also, client facing soft skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to apply an intermediate level of subject matter knowledge.
Also, work on problems and projects of moderately medium complex scope.
Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures.
Evaluate unique circumstances and make recommendations.
Also, typically 2 to 3 years of experience.
Ability to provide disposal services.
Able to problem solve.
Able to provide feedback on new technical processes to help drive efficiency.
