Desktop Support Engineer
GTS’s jobs in Bridgwater. GTS has a new role for a Contract Desktop Support Engineer in Bridgwater. This contract is from 8 to 12 months but could get extended. The day rate for this post is up to £140.
This role is inside IR35. Therefore is only suitable for suited to umbrella contractors. The working days are Monday to Friday within office hours.
Responsibilities as a Deskside Support Engineer:
As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will provide and maintain service continuity for the client’s desktop technology. And also, resolve technical queries as needed as set out in the contracts. In this role, you will support PCs, laptops, cabling, televisions, projectors, phones, peripherals, and site security equipment.
Firstly, 2 years of working knowledge in a similar post
Secondly, excellent client-facing soft skills
Excellent verbal skills
Have good written skills
Technical knowledge of standard systems and business software is needed
Must be a good team player
Must be comfortable with working independently
Also, must be an excellent problem solver
Have the ability to work with a medium-complex scope
Furthermore, exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures
Evaluate unique circumstances and make relevant recommendations
Ability to provide disposal services
