If you are looking for IT jobs in Dumfries. We have a great Desktop Support Engineer III role. This position is located onsite in Dumfries. The salary is between £27,000 and £28,290 and the hours are standard office hours.
This is a permanent full-time position working a 37.5 hour week.

As a Desktop Support Engineer you will:

Firstly, troubleshoot known and unknown hardware issues related to desktop, laptops, workstations, peripherals, and associated accessories

Likewise, troubleshoot known and unknown software issues related to Windows platforms

Also, Smart hands & eyes support for Infrastructure and data centre activities

Manage site process documentation and knowledgebase articles

Furthermore, manage tickets via the ticket management system

And, configure desktops and printers

Lastly, deal with ad-hoc customer and IMAC requests

What we’re looking for:

Firstly, knowledge of current and past Microsoft windows operating systems

Also, basic knowledge of Mac OS platforms

Likewise, knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive and Intune)

Experience in Windows imaging techniques (Network & Local)

Microsoft Active Directory & Azure Active Directory knowledge

Also, excellent interpersonal & communication skills

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

Experience and technical knowledge of IT, PC’s and peripherals

Finally, display flexibility and the ability to manage your day effectively

Desirable skills / qualifications:

ServiceNow and ITIL Certification / Awareness
