Deployment Engineer jobs in Edinburgh. GTS has an exciting IT Contract for a Deployment Engineer in Edinburgh. This is an initial 1 to 2 month contract but this may be extended. This role has a day rate of £160.

This is a site-based contract role and is inside IR35. As a result, this role is suited to umbrella contractors only.

Contractors will need to have a valid DBS certificate.

Job Description:

Firstly, provide support for the installation and configuration of IT assets.
Support and set up of IT assets. This includes POS, Thin clients, desktops, laptops, printers, Label printers, Scanners, and IT peripherals.
Coordinate with Service Desk, Operations Managers and Tower Leads for issue resolution and service requests.
Finally, maintain and report hardware asset stock.

Key Skills and Experience needed:

Firstly, have experience in supporting mobile devices. This includes iPads, iPhones etc, and MDM.
Have knowledge of Networking, Wi-Fi, VPN, and Links.
Working experience in Microsoft technology. This includes Windows 7 and 10, and O365, MS Teams.
Also, have experience in supporting performance as well as client-related issues resolutions.
Good understanding of Asset management.
Finally, you can work well on your own as well as part of a team.
