Jobs in Glasgow. GTS has an exciting IT Contract opportunity for a Deployment Engineer based in Glasgow. This is on an initial 2-month contract but this may be extended. This role has a day rate of £140.

This is a site-based contract role and is inside IR35. As a result, this role is suited to umbrella contractors only.

This role is on a 40 hour week. The rota is Monday to Thursday, 08:00 to 17:00 as well as Friday 08:00 – 12:00.

Job Description:

Firstly, provide support for the installation and configuration of IT assets.
Support and set up IT assets. This includes POS, Thin clients, desktops, laptops, printers, Label printers, Scanners, and IT peripherals.
Coordinate with Service Desk, Operations Managers and Tower Leads. This is for issue resolution and service requests.
Finally, maintain and report hardware asset stock.

Key Skills and Experience required:

Firstly, have experience in supporting mobile devices (iPads, iPhones, etc.) and MDM.
Have good knowledge of Networking, Wi-Fi, VPN, and Links.
Also, have work experience in Microsoft technologies Windows 7 and 10 and O365, as well as MS Teams.
Experience in supporting performance and client-related issues resolutions.
Have the ability to work as a member of a team as well as independently.
Finally, have a good understanding of Asset management.
