The Engineering Team based in Christchurch, UK is responsible for:
Firstly, the system design and integration of the latest military communications products into customer focused solutions.
Design, development and porting of military waveforms onto Software Defined Radios
Also, the through-life support of in-service and future tactical radio products and systems.
The Engineering Team comprises system, software, hardware, mechanical and test engineering disciplines.

This person will add to the company’s success through the development of software for our tactical communications products, supporting applications and systems. This role will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager. There will be daily interaction with other engineers and frequent contact with team members from within the company and partner organisations.

Essential Responsibilities:

Firstly, Software design, implementation, and testing for embedded systems and application software.
Build and maintain development as well as integration environments.
Design a DevOps tool chain to deliver target environments, COTS software and patches.
Finally, manage and maintain software artefact repositories.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Or, Master’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Desirable Qualifications:
Firstly, have knowledge and experience in software engineering (embedded or application).
Also, knowledge and experience in DevOps methods and tools.
Knowledge and experience in software configuration management and software artefact repositories.
Experience with multiple operating systems. (Windows, Linux and embedded RTOS).
Knowledge and experience of UML and associated tools.
Also, experience in software integration and deployment.
Knowledge of scripting and automation
Understanding of Virtualisation and Containerisation.
Finally, have knowledge of military communications, networking and IT infrastructure.
