Desktop Support Engineer

One of our new Jobs in Harlow. This is a contract role for a Desktop Support Engineer. The contract term is 3 to 7 months but this may be extended. This is an onsite role and is inside IR35 as a result, this role is only suited to umbrella contractors. For this position you either need a valid DBS or willing to get one on offer.
Desktop Support Engineer will provide and maintain service continuity for the client’s desktop tech and resolve technical queries as set out in contractual agreements. Firstly, working days are Monday to Friday office hours
Secondly, respond to customer incidents, service requests and manage through to a successful resolution
Also, deliver a deskside service to the customer, including hardware break fix and software support for laptops and desktops across the site.
Furthermore, manage and maintain the configuration and installation of desktops, including patch updates and hardware replacements.
Finally, monitor security profiles and anti-virus software on all Desktop Devices and take action in the event of non-compliance with security requirements.
Firstly. 2 years Desktop Support experience
A confident communicator who is able to engage at all levels
Good at working under pressure and adapt to change
Excellent customer service skills
Also, knowledge of network protocols, server hardware and configurations.
Finally, have a relevant IT qualifications
