Tasks:

Firstly, act as the first point of contact for customers seeking assistance via phone or email, raise comprehensive support tickets, ensuring that any missing details are gathered for further investigation.
Ensure that all Service requests are actioned in a timely manner.
Also, demonstrate excellent customer service at all times.
Adhere to SLAs, keeping users updated at all times.
Work independently to high standards with little intervention or assistance.
Work with wider support team to ensure any recurring issues are addressed.
Continuously improve knowledge and understanding across the various software and hardware technologies supported and implemented by the company.
Review, develop and produce Knowledge Base Articles for use across the Service Desk Team.
Demonstrate an empathetic and confident demeanour when communicating with clients.
Finally, work to deadlines as set by the Service Desk Manager.

Skills:

Firstly, ability to use and support MS office applications.
Working knowledge and experience of Windows Desktop, Remote Desktop Services and Active Directory and Windows Operating Systems.
A basic understanding of IT Networking principals such as DNS, DHCP, WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi typologies.
Working knowledge of mobile phone devices, both apple and android, and hardware such as printers and Bluetooth peripherals.
Ability to make decisions within the boundaries of the role.
Ability to prioritise and multi-task efficiently.
Be able to proactively problem solve and identify solutions.
Finally, basic understanding of GDPR principals.
