Field Service / Hardware engineer – Print Management – MFP

We are looking for a personable Field Engineer. As a Field Engineer working for an MSP you will have good customer facing skills, as will be dealing with clients directly on their sites. You will need to be a strong technical person, would is confident in your ability and demonstrates excellent professionalism.
Skills needs:
Firstly, experience of working in a field technical support environment
preferably within the MFP/copier/print arena
Secondly, City & Guilds or similar qualification or comparative competence level.
Also, ability to think through problems in a logical manner to enable speedy and accurate resolution of issues.
Most importantly, excellent communication skills to ensure first class customer service.
Firstly, provide technical assistance to assigned accounts within timescales specified by SLAs
Secondly, effectively investigate and rectify faults reported by KMDS and channel partner end users
Perform device installation routine maintenance and modifications and updates as required
Must also provide support during installations
Understand and be fully conversant with SLAs relating to assigned KMDS accounts
Furthermore, understand solutions in use and be able to carry out basic fault finding
Back up colleagues when necessary – e.g., holiday, sickness, busy periods
Also, log call details using the call logging system within agreed timescales
Report reoccurring faults to enable proactive management of such faults
Share expertise and technical information with team members
Most importantly, build relationships with key stakeholders within KMDS accounts at all times
Also, ensure boot stock and/or site stock is maintained at specified levels
Attend product courses as requested to ensure knowledge base sufficient for job role
Adhere to all Company and client policies and procedures when working on site or the offices.
