GTS has an exciting IT Contract for a Desktop Support Engineer in Uxbridge. This is on an initial 1 to 2 month contract but this may be extended.
This is a site-based contract role and is inside IR35. As a result, this role is suited to umbrella contractors only.
Contractors will need 5 years of referenceable UK working history to be suitable for this role. You will require DBS for this role.
A description of what you will be doing:
Firstly, provide support for installing and configuring IT assets.
Support and set up IT assets. This includes POS, Thin clients, desktops, laptops, printers, Label printers, Scanners, and IT peripherals.
Co-ordinate with Service Desk, Operations Managers, and Tower Leads for issue resolution and service requests.
Finally, maintain and report hardware asset stock.
We are looking for the below skills, experience, and attributes:
Firstly, have experience in supporting mobile devices (iPads, iPhones, etc.) and MDM.
Knowledge of Networking, Wi-Fi, VPN, and Links.
Working experience in Microsoft technologies Windows 7 and 10 and O365, as well as MS Teams.
Experience in supporting performance and client-related issues resolutions
Good understanding of Asset management
Finally, have previous experience working airside. This is preferential but not essential.
