GTS’s Jobs in Yeovil, Deskside Support Engineer III

Jobs in Yeovil has a new role for a Deskside Support Engineer level 3. This is a full-time post. The rota is from 08:00 to 17:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 to 16:00 on Fridays. The salary is up to £31,000.

You need to be able to obtain SC Security Clearance. As a result, this role is only suitable for British nationals. Also, a driving license is needed for this role. This is because you will be supporting a large site and satellite sites.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Firstly, Desktop, Laptop, and VDI build, configuration and deployment to end users.
Secondly, software installation and deployment.
Also, assist with Smartphone deployment and support.
Assist the 2nd Line support team with laptop, desktop and VDI terminal support calls.
Install and upgrade hardware and break-fix for desktop, laptop, and server.
Finally, cover the Service Desk as required and assist with customer projects.

Skills and Qualifications needed for this role:

Firstly, Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 upward Operating Systems – Deployment, configuration, and support.
Secondly, must be able to demonstrate software and hardware troubleshooting skills.
Also, have good knowledge of Microsoft SCCM and OS, Application deployment.
Microsoft Windows 7 and 10 training and certification.
Have Active Directory management skills.
Finally, understand of SCCM and Mobile Iron, or similar mobile device management platforms, and McAfee EPO.

Personal skills:
Very good verbal and written skills.
Must be good at time management.
Be a good team player.
