GTS’s new Junior IT jobs. We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Desktop Support Engineer / IT Technician to join a blue-chip organisation in Stanstead, East Anglia on a permanent basis.

The working hours are 3 shifts on and 3 shifts off (06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00).
£19,500 Salary with £2,700 shift allowance.

Responsibilities

Firstly, work on image PCs, Laptops, Tablets, as well as Smart Phones in line with Customer SLAs.
Control the Customer call queue making sure SLA is met.
Ensure all jobs are completed to the specified process and standards.
Also, accurately update any required databases as well as spreadsheets as requested.
Secure receipt of hardware from Customer suppliers (Laptops, desktops, screens, SFF printers, peripherals, and cables.
Identify any devices under Warranty and log and oversee warranty repair.
Additionally, assist with deliveries and shipments as required including booking In and booking out using required databases or spreadsheets.
Furthermore, undertake any other workshop configuration activities as directed.
Comply with all Health and Safety rulings in place.
Finally, comply with any security rulings and report anything sinister to local management.

Key Experience Needed

Firstly, some previous experience is required – Junior level.
Have basic IT skills in Microsoft products.
Also, have good English and Maths skills.
Must have a full clean driving license.
Finally, must have 5 years’ worth of referenceable work history or education.
