UK – Remote
Salary – £30,000 – £40,000 + Benefits

Contribute to the development of strategies by increasing user engagement. Amongst other duties outlined in this specification, the main emphasis of your role will be to help create content for advertising campaigns on social media in order to help the marketing team to promote products and services to prospective and existing customers in the most cost-effective and productive manner possible. To be successful, you should keep abreast of the latest SEO techniques.

Crucially, the main focus of the Marketing Executive will be to help improve the current communication and marketing strategies and seek new opportunities to enhance brand awareness and industry profile.


Developing content for blogs, articles, product descriptions, social media, and the company website.
Proofreading content for errors and inconsistencies.
Editing and polishing existing content to improve readability.
Conducting keyword research and using SEO best practices to increase traffic to the company website.
Creating compelling headlines and body copy that will capture the attention of the target audience.
Identifying customers’ needs and recommending new content to address gaps in the company’s current content.


1 Firstly, update the website regularly as a top-level “gatekeeper”. This is ensuring that when you edit all sections they are quality controlled and the content is audience-focused, accurate, and kept up-to-date at all times.

2 Monitor and report on search engine rankings and website hits as well as develop email and mailshot campaigns in support of business objectives.

Industry Events and Publications

1 Ensure you meet all editorial and advertisement deadlines. Additionally, make the personnel aware of completion dates before issuing to publishers that allow for sufficient time for proof-checking activities.

2 Effectively, plan and coordinate attendance at relevant events, such as user forums, conferences, exhibitions and seminars. Also, ensure that all pre-requisites are monitored and dealt with in a timely manner.

3 Document the responsibilities, objectives, and required deliverables of all the personnel involved in any aspect of the above events.

4 Seek editorial and speaker opportunities by monitoring deliverables for personnel and ensure that these are achieved, such as the issue of keynote speaker slide sets to conference organisers by their requested date.

5 Monitor current marketing activities (eg, advertising, conferences, and seminars, etc) to ensure these activities remain viable and cost-effective methods, and where they are not, research alternative solutions and provide recommendations, including full costings.

6 Crucially, conduct in-depth research on industry-related topics in order to develop original content.

Customer Updates

1 Maintain quarterly customer updates and manage the production of marketing materials including leaflets, newsletters and flyers, along with all social media platforms.

2 Explore and recommend various marketing activities that would provide further sales opportunities from the existing customer base.


1 Assist in the planning and production of marketing materials that can be easily adapted for use by its partners. You need to ensure that integrity, quality of branding and a uniform approach is retained (as per distributor/reseller terms) and cross charging is applied, if applicable.

2 Additionally, liaise with the marketing counterparts of partners to discuss mutually beneficial marketing opportunities and exchange information for inclusion in materials issued to customers (eg, success stories), in relevant publications or white papers on the website.

Research and Development

1 Assist in the development and application of corporate marketing standards, including visual identity and house style.

2 Conduct regular market research and obtain relevant and up-to-date information relating to competitors.

4 Maintain a knowledge base of editorial text and an archive of marketing materials, eg, advertisements in publications, which is particularly relevant in the protection of its trademarks.

Internal Awareness

1 Assist and encourage increased marketing awareness and professionalism by working with all personnel to both promote uniformity in the application of corporate marketing standards, but also to create meaningful content with internal staff.


1 Must possess excellent planning and organisational capabilities, be able to successfully manage resources and have the ability to prioritise workloads, handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

2 Proven content writing or copywriting skills (a portfolio of published articles would be advantageous)

3. Working knowledge of content management systems

4 Proven experience in analysing and clearly documenting results of market research and competitor information.

5 Must possess excellent writing, editing, communication, and interpersonal skills. In addition, we would prefer a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field.

6 The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

7 Lastly, use other skills: computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office, DTP packages and ACT for contact/marketing management, competence in HTML and web building/design experience).
