MS Dynamics CRM Product Owner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a MS Dynamics CRM Product Owner to join well established blue chip organisation.

In this Product Owner role, you will be an integral part of our clients overall success. Having recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics CRM for about 150 users in the overlay sales teams, the Product Owner will take responsibility for supporting the development of CRM and associated tools. And, you’ll be partnering with stakeholders in the business and driving implementation and adoption by the Sales teams and wider business.

In this role you will act as the Product Owner for the CRM platform and a small number of other internally developed tools. The Product Owner is responsible for incorporating the voice of the customer into the product solution. The Product Owner manages and prioritises the content produced by development teams to ensure it meets business and customer needs and continually searches for ways to improve efficiency.

The Product Owner’s main tasks include keeping a prioritized backlog of tasks, making the smaller decisions concerning the solution on a feature team level, and constantly aligning with the leadership team on a program/epic level.

Voice of the User

• Know the business strategy, and have the ability to clearly formulate business
priorities to the Feature team
• Build strong relationships with the end user community and business
leadership/owners, bringing the voice and priorities of the users to the forefront.
• Prioritise issues and have sufficient autonomy to make decisions
• Become a business expert with deep content knowledge

Product Solution and Delivery

• Actively participate in Design Solution thinking
• Identify and prioritise features to be delivered
• Contribute to vision, roadmap, and content presentations
• Active daily participant in iterations and sprints (planning through to showcases)
and team retrospective
• Provide content during analysis for user stories
• Sign off on user stories and UAT testing
• Assist in development of story acceptance criteria, fulfilling QA role
• Assist in decision making (though not required to have technical expertise)
• Demonstrate new functionality in release demo, and be accountable for showcase
• Attend product management meetings
• Ensure the solution solves the business problem or meets the user needs

Backlog Management

• Provide content for Feature team backlog
• Build, prune, and maintain team backlog
• Decide on user story/feature prioritisation by prioritising the feature team backlog
• Decide whether a feature gets de-scoped during the sprint process
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers and Consultants on a regular basis to
groom the feature backlog.
• Review and reprioritise the team backlog before iteration planning sessions
• Determine dependencies on other teams
• Ensure flow of work (at least two iterations’ worth of stories in backlog)

Continual Improvement

• Identify ways to improve processes so they are lean and efficient while meeting
business delivery requirements in line with backlog
• Identify ways to continually improve on quality standards
• Identify opportunities to lower costs
• Identify methods to improve current team processes and quality standards

As a MS Dynmics CRM Product Owner you Must Have:

• Previous experience as a Product Owner supporting software development and/or
business systems projects, preferably for B2B products
• Confidence in leading Agile teams and have experience of change/adoption management,
user support and training requirements
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience working with senior stakeholders in scoping and shaping projects as well
as dealing with issues and escalations
• A data-minded and analytical approach to working
• A demonstrable track record of getting stuff done whilst managing competing
pressures and deadlines and retaining an eye for detail and quality

Nice To Have:

• Experience using PowerBI or other analytics tools
• Experience with Azure DevOps
