An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CCNA Network engineer to join well established and respected organisation which is based in their prestigious offices in Croydon.

The working hours are 40 per week Monday – Friday.

Working as a CCNA Network Engineer (L2), you will provide support for our clients customers to ensure that their Network Infrastructure and systems remain operational. Above all, the CCNA Network Engineer will focus on second line support for incidents and requests with medium a level of complexity.

A SNAPSHOT OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Firstly, you will  proactively monitor technical incidents and problems. Above all, you will investigate and resolve issues so that service(s) are restored to clients within service level agreement (SLA). As a result, this will include timely updates to the client and end users.
Secondly, you will use the service management ticket system to log incidents, change requests, manage queues. After that, you will update tickets until resolution.
Most importantly, you will provide second level support to all incidents as well as requests. In addition, you will identify the root cause. To achieve this, you will communicate with other teams and clients. As a result you will look to identify problems and errors before they impact a client’s service. This will include escalation to 3rd line as required.  
Thirdly, you will execute approved changes and ensure risks as well as  mitigation plans are identified and captured within the change record. 
Additionally, you will support other teams and this will include the coaching of  L1 engineering teams.
Lastly, you will audit and analyse service tickets for quality and recommend improvements as well as updating knowledge articles.

IDEALLY, WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BELOW KEY SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:

As a CCNA Network Engineer you will have:
Minimum of two years experience delivering IT managed technical services within a medium to large organisation.
Exceptional customer service skills. As a result, creating a positive client experience.
Good working knowledge of ITIL processes.
Experience working with vendors and 3rd parties.
Knowledge of WAN, SDWAN, WLAN, LAN networking disciplines across major tier 1.
technologies and how these integrate with broader IT&S infrastructures.
Excellent communication skills across different cultures and social groups.
Ability to plan activities and projects and be prepared for unforeseen circumstances.
Are comfortable working in a pressurised environment.
Good organisational skills as well as problem solving. In addition, with attention to detail.
A self motivated professional team player. In other words, with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Ability to thrive in a rapidly expanding and fast changing environment.
Willing to work out of hours on a rota system as well as travel for work purposes which are requirements for the role. 
A full driving license.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE:

Advanced diploma, degree or relevant qualification in IT/Computing or demonstrated
equivalent work experience
CNA
Desirable:
ITIL 
CCNP
ACSA (Aruba)
JNCIA
