We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Engineer to join a well-established organisation. The role is based in their prestigious offices in Croydon. However, the successful candidate will be willing to travel.
The working week will be 40 hours: Monday – Friday.
As a level two (L2) Network Engineer, you will deliver managed network services to customers. As such, you will ensure service continuity for Network Infrastructure within SLA.
Firstly, you will identify and log issues. Ideally, before there is an impact to the customer. As a result, you will monitor the ticket queues and investigate such issues. So, achieving resolution within agreed SLAs.
Secondly, you will provide second level support. This will include identifying root causes and so, determine workarounds, or a permanent fix. Also, you will support client escalations. To achieve resolution, you may work with other teams such as 3rd line support.
Thirdly, you will log requests for changes to configuration items. As a result, you will execute changes with required approvals and documentation. You will also identify risks and mitigation plans.
Additionally, you will coach and support Level one teams so to develop their technical and behavioural skills. As such, you will conduct quality audits and make recommendations.
Lastly, you will partake in an out of hours rota. This will be after the successful completion of your probationary period.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Service Desk.
Good working knowledge of ITIL.

A full driving license – preferably clean.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced diploma, degree or relevant qualification in IT or Computing.
Alternatively, equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of WAN, SDWAN, WLAN, as well as LAN networking disciplines.
CCNA
IN ADDITION, THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE DESIRABLE:
2 years working for an MSP
ITIL certification
CCNP
ACSA (Aruba)
JNCIA
