GTS’s remote Networking Jobs. This role is Subject Matter Expert – Aruba WiFi Network Engineer.
This role is working from home.
The salary is up to £60,000.
SC clearance is an advantage if already held. If not, you must be able to obtain.
This is a full-time role, with virtual working to begin with. The hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:15. The successful candidate will be mainly working from home. You must be willing to travel if / when required on site. Overtime or on-call work may be required.
Due to the nature of our client’s work, the successful candidate will need to either hold or be able to obtain SC Security Clearance. For this reason, we are only able to progress with applications from British nationals.
Maintain data network hardware and systems.
Investigate and resolve network and hardware matters of significance.
Research, analyse, isolate and resolve errors.
Assess and update older networks as needed and in accordance with specified plans.
Provide technical support on data networks for internal and/or external customers.
Provide technical leadership for data network problem escalation and resolution.
Install and maintain network facilities. This includes hardware, software, and system data for small to medium sized networks.
Install network applications on network servers or voice equipment. Maintain, test, research, and resolve problems.
Determine appropriate standard testing routines or scripts. You may test various data equipment such as routers or switches.
Implement, and maintain various networks such as LAN or WAN.
Prepare data network diagrams and drawings to document. Communicate the current status of networks.
Perform data network configurations and changes of various data equipment. For example, routers or switches.
Prepare routine proposal documents.
Hold or be able to obtain SC security clearance.
Proven Aruba WiFi skills.
Aruba Controllers deployment and maintenance skills.
Knowledge of controller based and controller less enterprise wireless architectures, monitoring systems, and RADIUS infrastructure.
Cisco LAN / WAN – CCNA level working knowledge.
Experience working in complex routing. This is with exposure to OSPF / BGP / iBGP routing protocols.
Technical documentation skills.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. A degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems, or a related field is preferred.
Experience working with troubleshooting LAN systems and technical infrastructure communication issues.
Experience working with current network systems and networking principles, data, or video.
ClearPass and NAC skills.
Visual RF Ekahau survey post deployment surveys skills.
PaloAlto Firewalls, Checkpoint firewall skills.
Config and management of IPSec tunnels on both Firewalls and routers.
