Plymouth Jobs: We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Culture and Employee Engagement. This is to join our well established client in Plymouth, Devon on a permanent basis.

This role is a hybrid position.

The aim is to build an organisation where employees feel valued, inspired, and empowered. This is to help us achieve our goals and provide the best services possible to our residents.

Our client are realigning service provision to put digital, learning, and innovation at the heart of what they do. They have created four new functions – HR Consultancy, Culture and Employee Engagement, Health and Safety, and the HR Culture Partnering Team.

The salary will be £58,849 to £62,895. A relocation package would be considered. This is subject to terms and conditions.
You will partner with and coach senior leaders. This is to ensure services are accessible, efficient and provide value for money to our customers and residents.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Firstly, work closely with the Service Director of HROD. You will be responsible for a small team developing and leading organisational development activities. Also, ensure they deliver a culture of high performance and employee engagement in support of the People’s Strategy. This will include developing, implementing, and evaluating the impact of cross organisational strategies, plans, systems, and processes in areas including learning and development.
Finally, you will need to be a highly credible professional. You will need to have a proven passion as well as a drive for organisational development and employee engagement.

Skills and Experience:

Firstly, having a recognised HROD or L&D qualification and CIPD member status are essential.
Experience in leading an organisational development function for a complex company. Either as a stand-alone practitioner or as a manager.
Also, current knowledge and understanding of organisational design techniques and approaches
Finally, knowledge of HROD processes and interventions. Also, culture change, behaviors, and values, and achieve employee engagement.
