Programme manager in a well-established organisation in Thurrock. This will be on an initial four-month contract.
The job is Hybrid. As a result, the majority will be remote working. Also, you will have office visits twice per month.
As a Regeneration Programme Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, planning, managing as well as evaluating programmes and projects. This will be from initiation to completion. Above all, you will achieve the required outputs and results. This is all within budget, on time and, crucially, to the client’s satisfaction.
A SNAPSHOT OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Firstly, you will develop, implement and manage complex regeneration as well as capital projects across the organisation.
You will manage relationships with all stakeholders and partners.
For instance, you will engage directly with community groups and service users to obtain ideas and feedback.
Above all, you will manage projects within the allocated budgets as well as to agreed service levels.
In addition, you will lead and manage relevant Programme Boards as well as individual project managers.
Crucially, you will manage relationships across senior management. This is to ensure resources are allocated to deliver projects and work programmes.
Importantly, you will bid, work with and report to external funding bodies/agencies.
Lastly, you will manage consultant teams. As a result, will ensure effective contributions to project and programme objectives.
Minimum of three years of extensive Project and Programme management.
Above all, with a proven track record of leading programme delivery teams.
Demonstrable ability to translate strategy into delivery.
Good relationship management skills.
Effective communication skills across a multitude of audiences.
Crucially, the ability to effectively deliver key messages.
Creative and strategic thinker. Be able to generate new ideas and alternative options. This is to develop realistic solutions to complex problems.
Ability to collate, interpret and analyse complex data.
Knowledge of local government. In particular, understanding the challenges and opportunities working in this environment.
Working knowledge in managing the preparation of planning applications.
Successfully procuring and managing consultants and contractors.
Be a strong negotiator. Be able to influence and build effective working relationships with senior managers, members, communities, partner organisations, private sector providers, public agencies and statutory authorities.
Good computer skills. For instance, Microsoft Office, which will include MS Project.
Confident, diplomatic, tactful and persuasive.
Motivated with the ability to work under pressure, where change is a constant feature.
Awareness of the importance of equality and diversity.
