We have an exciting job opportunity for a Project Manager working within a high availability environment, where reliability, uptime and SLA achievement is crucial.
As a key member of the Project Team, you will be manage projects for new and changing services to our clients’ customers. To achieve this, you will demonstrate exceptional communication, planning, co-ordination, as well as customer service skills.
As a Project Manager, you will form close working relationships with the Project Team and Consultants. Also, you will be responsible for managing tasks and, so ensuring the timely delivery of services.
Firstly, you will be running all daily activities of the Project Portfolio. As such, you will track all projects from inception to completion, whilst following all required operating procedures. Additionally, you will delegate workload to Project Co-ordinators, as well as ensuring a consistent approach to all projects. Crucially, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the customers satisfaction.
To achieve this, you will create and maintain Project Initiation and Control documents. These will include elements such as: communication strategy; approach to Risk Management; as well as managing Change. Above all, you will ensure the effective planning for all projects, such as confirmation of Scope and resulting statements of work. Crucially, you will effectively plan, monitor and manage resources so to achieve set targets.
Importantly, you will manage compliance requirements, such as Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA).
Additionally, you will lead project Kick Offs, as well as meetings with all stakeholders. These will include weekly status updates and milestone reporting. This may include providing ad-hoc updates to Senior Management. You will manage the risk register, thereby mitigate risks, understanding their impact. Above all, you will ensure timely invoicing as set out within the Project.
On completion of each Project, you will instigate and manage User Acceptance Testing. On approval, you will close the Project down.
You will support the sales teams to bring on new business. For example, you will provide input to new quotations or estimate project timescales. As such, you will be involved with quoting for Proposals, Out of Scope work, as well as Project Changes. You will partake in technical reviews to assess roadmaps. Additionally, you will identify and plan projected pipeline resource requirements.
Finally, you will be working with the Change Advisory Board, in addition to Customers so to review, control and mitigate project risks associated with change.
Minimum of 3 years Project Management role, preferably for a managed service provider.
Proven customer-centric IT service Delivery experience.
Demonstrable proficiency working within PRINCE2 framework.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent problem-solver.
Desire and proven experience to improve work methods.
Excellent organisational skills and time management.
Team Player.
Excellent customer service skills across all stakeholders.
Good general technical understanding across multi technologies.
Experience in handling customer complaints.
Finally, excellent commercial understanding.
PRINCE2 Practitioner
ITIL Foundation certified
Leadership skills or experience
Axelos Agile or PMP experience
