Consultant Jobs – Senior Network Consultant – London

Senior Network Consultant- Hybrid role three days office (London) and two from home.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Network Consultant to join a well-established organisation.

Key Skills:

Cisco ISE for NAC [Network Access Control] (802.1x)
Telephony (CUCM, Expressway, SIP)
Cisco R&S [Routing & Switching] (CCNP Level)
Starter-Finisher Project Delivery Experience (PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall, Kanban experience desirable not essential, looking for aptitude)
A SNAPSHOT OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Configuration, deployment, testing, maintenance, monitoring and trouble resolutions of network components to provide a robust, industry standard communications platform.
Respond to incidents logged in the Incident Management system and provide end users with a technical solution within Service Level Agreements.
Firewall Management, Incident Diagnostics, and Assistance.
Log Monitoring and Analysis.
Rule base Auditing and Advisory.
Device Software Upgrades, Patches and Bug Fixes.
Configuration backup and restoration.
Rule base and Network Configuration Change Management.
Provide a point of technical escalation and expertise.
Maintain technical accreditations in line within the Cisco platform.
Escalate and work with vendors when required.
Setup and complete scheduled tasks when required.
Escalate potential service issues initially with Networks and Telephony Manager / Service Delivery Manager.
Escalate potential problem issues with Problem and Incident Management.
Recommend and deploy changes via the change management process when required.
Act as a role model for technical competence, helpfulness, facilitation of learning and teamwork.
Also, aid team members when required.
Proactively maintain and develop knowledge, skills and experience through client contact, industry sources, formalised training and development plan.
Work with Internal IT Engineers to better understand issues and solutions.
Finally, provide technical assistance to ongoing projects when required.

IDEALLY, WE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BELOW KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE,:

Firstly, the essential skills:

Firstly, at least 5 years of experience in a similar SLA driven support role.
Proven customer service skills, as well as proven experience delivering large transformation projects and complex changes.
Knowledge of ITIL processes, OSI models, and Design Considerations.
Routing and Switching Troubleshooting.
MPLS WAN Support skills.
Also,Cisco Security Platforms (ASA, FirePower) as well as Network and Endpoint Security.
Security Monitoring and Incident Handling.
IDP/IPS configuration and management.
Vulnerability, Identity, and Access Management.
Security Operations, Web Filtering, Malware Analysis, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS and Firewall skills.
Experience in SNMP Monitoring solutions and delivering projects with complex changes.
Lastly, proven customer service skills.

Also, desirable attributes:

Firstly, experience as a Cisco Call Manager.
Also, Industry recognised qualifications, ideally CCNP equivalent or higher.
Natural problem solver, as a result getting to the cause and identifying a long-term fix.
Finally, a starter finisher who will wrap up a delivery to be learned and understood by anyone.
