ServiceNow Senior Technical Consultant
We have an exciting new role for an experienced Senior Technical Consultant, to join an ITSM provider specialising in ServiceNow. The role is home-based. Therefore, Applicants can be based anywhere in the UK.
Primarily, as a Senior Technical Consultant, you will work closely with Customers to understand their business requirements and challenges, and subsequently translate them into technical solutions. After which, you will lead the technical delivery of the chosen solution.
The role requires a strong and proven background in the technical delivery of service management within ServiceNow.
Firstly, you will fully engage with customers in order to understand their requirements. Crucially, you will need to validate these requirements and so, may need to challenge “needs” versus “wants” to propose the most beneficial technical solution. As such, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills, thereby transforming customer requirements into true business outcomes.
As a result, you will provide creative solutions so to resolve business problems. Fundamental considerations will be the technology (ServiceNow, HP, etc.), process gaps (ITSM/ITIL) as well as cultural challenges.
Additionally, you will work with the Pre-Sales and Technical Architecture functions to support, validate and help deliver client presentations, as well as workshops. You will be responsible to prepare and run functional design workshops. This will include the creation of design specifications, which are based on ‘out-of-the-box’ functionality. Additionally, you will aid in responses to technical and business enquiries.
Educated to Degree Level
12-18 months of hands-on design, development, and deployment experience with Service-now,
and/or 3+ years of experience with similar ITSM toolsets.
Experience in providing creative solutions in line with IT Service Management (ITIL) processes and metrics.
Proven leadership experience.
Ability to produce documentation at various levels, both technical and customer-facing.
Team player and builder.
Ability to develop integrations with the ServiceNow platform using web services, SOAP, email, MID, and plugins.
Knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, VPN, SSL as well as other such technologies.
ITIL V2 or V3 Foundations Certification.
Knowledge of ITSM, ITAM, CMDB/uCMDB
This role covers the UK and Europe and therefore you must be prepared to travel for work and be flexible around the short notice. Due to the wide area coverage, most UK locations are acceptable as a base.
