If you are looking for automation tester jobs, we have a great role for an automation tester using the REST API. This is a permanent position, and the salary is between £40,000 and £45,000. The job offers hybrid working (3 days per week) on site in Ashford, Middlesex.

We are looking for an automation tester who has a genuine interest in testing software. This person must be an enthusiastic, self-starting problem solver with the ability to learn new technologies quickly. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who is both a good fit for our team and is approachable. They should be the kind of person who can both learn from the existing team and reciprocally teach new ideas and technologies.

The role overview

Our client is currently building a new web-based front-end (greenfield development) alongside our flagship product. This is an exciting time for us, and the successful applicant will be working with cutting edge technologies on both projects.

Required experience

Firstly, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
Secondly, must be a great team player, you will be expected to fit in with the team, and to learn and share with others.
Also, have good attention to detail and good problem analysis.
Likewise, you must also be enthusiastic and be willing to accept new challenges.
Furthermore, you must be familiar with Windows, Windows applications and Microsoft Office products.
Have previously worked within a team that follows agile practices and principles.
Proven experience testing software within a team and of creating and maintaining test documentation and artifacts.
ISTQB Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer or equivalent.
Also, proven knowledge of software and test framework design.
Lastly, experience with REST API testing.

Candidates with the following will have an advantage:

Firstly, knowledge of completing customs declarations and/or a wider knowledge of freight forwarding.
Secondly, experience with Azure DevOps, Microsoft Test Manager and Eggplant.
Also, Qualifications such as ISEB/ISTQB.
Experience with differing test environments / VM’s / API testing tools.
CI/CD
Finally, testing web front ends.
