If you are looking for business analyst jobs, we have a great opportunity for a contract Business Analyst. This role will join a blue chip company in Essex on a hybrid basis. This is a temporary opportunity for 6 months, with the potential to extend to 12 months. This role is deemed outside IR35 . The day rate is £375- £450

Contract Overview

Our client is undertaking a project to replace outdated and fragmented finance systems with a new cloud-based system. The new platform will enable improved efficiency, accuracy, and financial oversight. This work package requires a Business Analyst to work within the shared services program. The role is hybrid, with on-site work as and when required (see below).

Project Accountabilities

This project is to deliver a shared finance system to meet the desired business outcomes of the programme and project, by working with and bringing together stakeholders.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for examining personnel and operational systems across both organisations, and the role will require them to work directly with the Project Manager and key stakeholders to ensure the realisation of benefits and outcomes.

The Business Analyst is also expected to:

Deliver design options that eliminate the resilience risks and look to futureproof the service, including identifying opportunities to share processes.
Use empirical evidence and trends to identify potential roles across the partnership that will underpin our ability to retain key staff and build upon strengths to form a high performing team.
Take an active role in the project team, championing customer-led processes that rely on automation/digitisation, which in turn enable swift customer journeys and service cost efficiencies, and identify how the design can significantly improve the customer journey, outcomes, and satisfaction.
Liaise and collaborate with services to rationalise and improve existing processes, constructively challenging traditional and established ways of working to evolve service delivery and reduce reliance on manual intervention.
Prepare and run virtual and in-person information gathering exercises that gain insight into the customer journey and business process.
Accurately document processes, workflow changes/cessation. Diligently update the project site, timelines and feed into project updates and progress reports. Consider and document the data flows required for integrations to/from third-party systems and suppliers.
Report, write, and document desktop and system procedures and help in the training of end users to ensure successful implementation of process and system changes.
Design a sustainable support model for the future support of the delivered solutions.
Support the Project Manager when and as needed in the wider implementation of process changes, executing other projects, and performing other duties that may be assigned.

Experience needed

Firstly, you must have experience working on similar financial system implementations as a Business Analyst in comparable roles.
Secondly, experience working as a Business Analyst or as a system administrator on E-Financials (One Advanced) is desirable.
Deliver change in a company (desirable)
Accounting experience or qualification (desirable)
Likewise, you must be a subject matter expert, with the ability to deliver design options that address resilience risks and contribute to the future proofing of services.
Furthermore, excellent communication skills, to convey complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and facilitate collaboration within cross-functional teams.
Lastly, take a proactive approach to identifying issues, proposing solutions, and collaborating with teams to address challenges in processes and systems.
