If you are looking for great contract roles, GTS can help. This is a is a contract opportunity for a SCCM engineer to join a blue chip company in Dublin. The hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The daily rate can reach 250 euros.

About this contract role

The SCCM Engineer will take the technical lead in ensuring that the team installs, manages, controls, deploys, and maintains the desktop infrastructure systems and applications that meet the airport’s operational needs and service levels.

Secondly, you will act as a level 2 escalation point for Microsoft Configuration Manager for Service Desk.

Likewise, application packaging as and when required (note that application packaging will be performed using Microsoft Configuration Manager native capability only, MSI or script installer [exe]).

Also, client security patches deployments and compliance reporting OSD (Operating System Deployment) task sequences, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Perform level-1 administrative activities with inTune, e.g., troubleshoot end user mobile device enrollment issues, remote wipe of devices, mobile device health check, reporting.

Detailed tracking and asset management

Required for this contract role

Most importantly, 3-5 years of experience with desktop administration and management within a large and complex organisation

Likewise, 3 years of experience working with application packaging and delivery in both a Windows and MacOS environment

Also, 3 years of experience taking a technical lead on designing and leading an automated operating system and desktop application deployment

3-5 years of experience in scripting, automation, SCCM, group policy, endpoint protection, and patching

Furthermore, Microsoft Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator, SCCM/MD-102, and Pre-Requirements

Knowledge of emerging trends with respect to application packing, endpoint management solutions, and software packaging tools

3–5 years of experience using Intune and other endpoint management tools to deliver a seamless desktop user experience

self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to any new change or situation in a dynamic project environment.

Likewise, understanding service management best practices in frameworks such as ITIL

Lastly, be capable of communicating across functions.
