Desktop Support Engineer

We have a great role for a Desktop Support Engineer who will cover Hounslow and the surrounding areas. The salary is £28,290 plus a company van. A full UK driving license is needed. This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week.

Key duties for this role are:

Firstly, deal directly with clients in a friendly and highly confident manner

Secondly, troubleshoot known and unknown hardware and software issues related to desktop, laptops, workstations, peripherals, and associated accessories

Also, provide VIP support

Build and deploy PCs, patch network points, troubleshoot printer problems, support standard software packages, and other general “IT” tasks

Finally, work comfortably in comms areas, providing ‘Hands and Eyes’ support to other teams

Needed for this role:

Firstly, knowledge of current and past Microsoft windows operating systems

Secondly, working knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Intune etc)

Likewise, experience in Windows imaging techniques (Network & Local)

Also, Microsoft Active Directory & Azure Active Directory knowledge

Experience with using remote desktop support tools

Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

Must be able to work independently and part of a team

Experience and technical knowledge of IT, PC’s / peripherals, and their architecture

Furthermore, experience with break fix, IMACs and small project works

Lastly, working experience with Ticket Management
