We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Governance Officer to join our client on an initial 3 month contract.
Working Hours: This is a full-time temporary opportunity with 36.25 working hours per week, for an initial period of 12 weeks. This role offers flexible working with the expectation of being in the office at least 1 day per week in addition to supporting formal committee meetings as necessary.

Senior Governance Officer opportunity

Firstly, we are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Governance Officer as part of the company’s committee and Member Support Service, which operates at the heart of the democratic and decision-making process.
Likewise, this role is a key role that operates as part of a small team that provides a high quality service to support meetings of the organisation, and its committees.
Furthermore, provide support to a range of internal and external meetings and Members of the organisation. Also,  carry out a range of other duties to support the democratic and decision making process and ensure effective governance arrangements exist.

What do you need to succeed:
Firstly, 3 years experience of managing and providing administrative support to committees
Secondly, working knowledge of Elected Members
Also, experience of working in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance
Must have a flexible approach with the ability to attend evening meetings on a regular basis
