Great IT contract role in Pringy, France for a Junior Desktop Support Engineer. The initial contract is for 6-months, but this may get extended. The day rate is €135.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Desktop Support Engineer to join our client in Le Trait. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, assisting with IT infrastructure maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience to grow their skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Firstly, provide first-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Secondly, respond to support tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Likewise, assist in the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
Also, perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems and infrastructure.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Assist in maintaining an inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software licenses.
Support the implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure.
Assist with network troubleshooting and ensure network security protocols are followed.
Participate in network configuration and optimisation projects.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, procedures, and policies.
Generate regular reports on IT activities and system performance.
Contribute to the development of user guides and training materials.
Work closely with senior IT staff to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Lastly, provide basic training and support to end-users on IT systems and applications.
Firstly, 0–1 years of experience in an IT support role or similar position.
Also, internship experience in an IT environment is a plus.
Likewise, a basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
Furthermore, familiarity with the Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
Knowledge of basic network troubleshooting techniques.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Also, have the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
Finally, fluency at the business level in both English and French.
