Role objective:

The role as a Professional Services Resource Manager is to work in partnership with our customers and project management office to manage, schedule, and deliver professional services to the
customer base.

The PS Resource Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating the professional service. Resources need to function effectively. They will work with multiple teams, from consultants to Managed services specialists to the project management office.

Needed Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

Firstly, have the ability to forecast the resource requirements for the entire department.
Secondly, excellent time management and be able to meet deadlines. We are also looking for a good multi-tasker.
Furthermore, excellent communication skills and be able to communicate with clients and stakeholders for the successful delivery of project-related tasks
Also, have a successful, proven track record in the delivery of technical projects to customers
A minimum of 24 months’ work experience in a similar role at a managed service provider environment
Likewise, a demonstrable experience in working with multiple technologies within a Managed Service Provider
Excellent computing and technical skills
Exceptional coordination and planning skills
Be able to acquire new knowledge and skills quickly and apply them to business situations.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Desirable – Knowledge and experience of Microsoft-based solutions

Firstly, degree-level education or equivalent experience
Secondly, recognised project management qualifications, e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, APMP
Also, demonstrated experience in service introduction and ‘Go to Market’ processes
Lastly, experience in an IT, cloud, or service-related industry

Responsibilities:

Firstly, deliver a high team performance level. Accountable for effective people management to ensure a high level of team morale, timely customer incident management, and consistent achievement of operational targets, including KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs.

Secondly, be responsible for managing all direct reports through the PDP program and regular 1:1’s, identifying training needs, performance improvements, and ensuring all training is completed in line with an
individual’s PDP.
Also, onboard new resources and provide orientation to company policies and procedures.
Likewise, monitor resource utilisation and performance levels and take corrective action as necessary.
Furthermore, completing and creating detailed plans for resource management
Managing employees to ensure that all workers are using current procedures and equipment.
Working with clients to schedule projects, including providing updates throughout the process.
Monitoring project revenues, identifying potential cost overruns, and creating contingency plans to prevent spending overruns.
Importantly, coordinating with the procurement team and partners to schedule deliveries of materials needed for projects.
Scheduling the professional services engineers for projects
Ensuring that all materials arrive on schedule and are in good condition.
Reviewing project plans to ensure that they meet delivery standards and other requirements.
Maintaining inventory records of all materials required for projects.
Keep up to date with best practices in our key products and suggest and recommend changes to the business and processes to improve the performance of a customer’s IT service.
Proactively assisting with recommendations and the delivery of solutions to its customers maximising customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
Also, keep up-to-date with best practices in key service solutions. Suggest and recommend changes to the business and processes to improve the performance of products and Manage Services.

Lastly, maintain high quality in delivery and sponsor continuous improvement. Own, maintain, and adhere to all elements of the company’s ISO standards.
