This person must be an enthusiastic, self- starting problem solver with the ability to learn new technologies quickly. You will be experience with supervising / leading a team on process and procedures. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator to ensure a good fit for our development team. You will play a key role in the software testing lifecycle and must work well in a team environment in a ‘hands on’ role, but also able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision, leading a team of automation and manual testers.

Overview:

We build top of the line software for the freight community. Our software is a leading product which delivers a B2B and B2G connectivity solution.
The product that is actively under development is a mature application (client/server) which started life in 2008 and has been deployed to live customers since 2011. We are currently building a new web-based front-end (greenfield development) alongside our flagship product. There is a good mixture of technologies used in keeping this software up-to-date, and there is also a huge backlog of work to keep us busy for the immediate future. As a company, we’re very hot on quality. We’re looking for an individual who will inspire our test team, will have a passion for software testing and will enhance our agile working environment.

Expectations:

Firstly, knowledgeable about testing processes, agile practices, and principles.
Also, create and maintain detailed and readable test plans / test cases / process documentation for testing the software.
Likewise, create and maintain both API and UI based automated tests using a variety of frameworks.
Complete testing of the software.
Furthermore, develop and maintain documentation to a high standard for both internal and external use.
Familiar with Windows, Windows applications, and Microsoft Office products.

Experience needed:

Firstly, 7 years of testing and demonstrable lead/management experience.
Secondly, expert test automation practitioner. This includes implementing a test automation strategy and continually improving test automation scripts, practices, and procedures.
Furthermore, must be comfortable with designing and implementing test strategies. We want someone who will pro- actively challenge, validate and if necessary, work with the management team to enhance existing procedures.
Likewise, be able to mentor your co-workers and continually improve processes across the SDLC.
Also, have a good eye for detail and possess good problem analysis / excellent communications skills.
Lastly, enthusiastic and be willing to accept new challenges.

An ideal candidate would also have the following:
