We have an exciting opportunity for a desktop support engineer to join our client on an initial one month contract with potential extensions.
This is a site-based contract role but is inside IR35. As a result, this role is suited to umbrella contractors only.
Role requires DBS so engineers would need to already hold one or be willing to apply on offer
Working as a Desktop Support Engineer, you will provide and maintain service continuity for the client’s desktop technology and resolve technical queries that may occur, all within contractual agreements.
Expert in Android tablet and phone device support Staging and configuration of the mobile devices Hand out devices from the stock location to the end users Collect devices from the End Users Ticket handling Asset management Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve software issues for the Android devices Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for the Vending Lockers
Skill set Working technical knowledge in order to address service work orders, for PCs, laptops, cabling, televisions, projectors, phones, peripherals and site security equipment Working technical knowledge of standard systems and business software Client facing soft skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to apply intermediate level of subject matter knowledge Works on problems/projects of moderately medium complex scope Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations Typically 2 3 years of experience Ability to provide disposal services Able to independently problem solve Able to provide feedback on new technical processes to help drive efficiency
