If you are looking for contract jobs in Bracknell, we have a great opportunity for Project Manager. This role offers hybrid working: 3 days onsite, 2 remote. The hours are standard core office hours. This role is located in Bracknell, and the day rate is £300–350.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our prestigious client on an initial 12-month contract basis in Bracknell.

This role is inside IR35, and therefore contractors will need to work through an umbrella company.

The Project Manager (PM) ensures that all projects are completed within the specified deliverables, to the required standard of quality, and within the agreed constraints of time and budget. The PM deals with high-value, complex projects that require specialist skill and experience in key stakeholder management.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

Responsibilities for the PM will include:

Firstly, project planning: developing comprehensive project plans, including defining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
Secondly, team leadership: leading and motivating project teams, assigning tasks, and fostering collaboration to achieve project goals.
Likewise, risk management: identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure successful outcomes.
Also, stakeholder management: effectively communicating with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and management, to keep them informed of project progress and address concerns.
Budget and Resource Management: Monitoring project budgets and resource allocation to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
Furthermore, quality assurance: implementing quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet specified standards and customer expectations.
Schedule Management: tracking project milestones and deadlines, identifying delays or bottlenecks, and taking proactive measures to keep the project on schedule.
Change Management: Managing changes to project scope, requirements, or timelines and assessing the impact on project objectives and resources.
Reporting and Documentation: Generating regular progress reports, documenting project activities, decisions, and outcomes, and maintaining accurate project records Continuous Improvement: Evaluating project performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing lessons learned to enhance future project execution.
Lastly, overall, the purpose of a project manager is to effectively plan, organize, and coordinate all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed successfully, on time, and within budget while meeting stakeholders’ expectations.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Firstly, you must have excellent PC skills.
Secondly, experience influencing and negotiating is a must, along with experience delivering projects in a matrix-managed team.
Also, awareness of the principles, methods, and techniques for the effective set-up and delivery of technical projects
Delegating tasks, responsibilities, and authorities effectively
Likewise, be a highly effective written and oral communicator at all levels within an organization. Ability to tailor an approach to audience requirements.
Experience of complex:
IT outsourcing, desktop and other hardware deployment, service transition, global audits, technical project implementation, networks, and AD

Also needed
Four years of experience as a technical project manager
International experience in delivering projects across multiple countries through multiple partners
Finally, Prince 2 Qualified or similar

DESIRABLE

Firstly, proactive, action orientated and anticipates potential outcomes
Secondly, retaining objectivity and proper understanding of a problem or situation when placed under conditions of stress
Likewise, influencing and persuading others to take a specific course of action when there is no direct line of command or control
Awareness in the use of automated tools to assist in the project management process by automating mechanical tasks such as scheduling, resource balancing and time recording, e.g. Microsoft Project
Understanding the needs, objectives and constraints of those in other disciplines and functions
Keeping overall objectives and strategies in mind, and not being deflected from these when dealing with matters of detail
Experienced in effective problem-solving techniques with ability to resolve individually or through facilitating a team of appropriate experts
Mentoring/Coaching skills of more junior staff members
